Making A Vision Board

You may have read in my earlier blogs or elsewhere about making a vision board to achieve success. It's the new year and everyone is talking about resolutions. A vision board can help you make your resolutions a reality. Let's talk about why you should make a vision board, how it can help you and how to make one.

Why? You should make a vision board to help you visualize success. You need to see the end result of your success to get there. Even multi-millionaire Steve Harvey keeps pictures of what he hopes to achieve in his wallet and he keeps the ratings he desires for his TV shows inside his suit cuff to help him visualize success. What does success look like to you? If you can see it, you can make it happen. A vision board can help you see what you are striving for and keep you motivated. How? Making a vision board can be fun and easy. Get a board, old magazines and some glue. Find pictures, mementos or items that you want to achieve, or things that you see as success. Cut out pictures and words from the magazines to make your vision board of success.

When I wanted to lose weight my vision board included pictures of thin bodies in bikinis, exercise, salads and slim cute outfits. When I wanted to be a speaker my vision board included pictures of women speakers, large audience, microphones and books. Whatever you want to achieve should be on your board. Whatever you see yourself doing should be on your board. Include words of encouragement or words that represent what you want to achieve. For example, if you wanted to be a comedian your board might include a microphone, marquee of the Apollo or Caroline's or a famous comedy club. It could also include pictures of people laughing or tickets to your first show.

Once the board is completed but it in a place where you can see it daily to give you motivation to take action daily to achieving your dreams.
