Speaking and Consulting
Charlotte D. Taylor is a pre-law and law school consultant.
She is also a recently certified health coach who lost over 100 lbs and speaks to others to motivate them to success.
She previously served as the Assistant Dean for Student Services at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center on Long Island in New York for six years. Prior to that she worked at DePaul University College of Law for over thirteen years as the Assistant Dean for Multicultural Affairs and Student Support Services and the Assistant Director of the Academic Support Program. While at DePaul she co-authored a book for pre-law students: Bridging the Gap Between College and Law School: Strategies for Success (Carolina Academic Press 2001, 2009, 2014) with Ruta Stropus. She has volunteered with several pre-law organizations, including Law Camp, Just the Beginning Foundation (http://www.jtbf.org/), and the Council on Legal Education Opportunity (http://www.cleoscholars.com/). She began her legal career practicing at Greene and Letts in Chicago before entering legal academia at DePaul University. She obtained a B.S. in Business Management from Bradley University and a J.D. from DePaul University. She has presented at several conferences for law professors in the areas of academic support, minority affairs and student affairs, as well as published several pre-law articles for various websites and magazines. She enjoys speaking to law students, prelaw students and consulting with law schools.
She lost over 100lbs on Weight Watchers and speaks to others about her lifetime journey towards health and happiness. She has led vision board workshops and sessions on motivation and success.
In addition, she gives back to her community through service projects as a life member with her sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
In her spare time she runs for fun and for charity and writes poems. She has acted in a play; stage managed a one-night show; and enjoys expanding her horizon to help others help themselves.
